HAKIM M. A. WILLIAMS
Hakim M. A. Williams is an assistant professor in Africana Studies and Education at Gettysburg College. A native of Trinidad & Tobago, he holds a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) from St. Francis College in Psychology, a Master of Arts in International Educational Development (concentration: peace education), a Master of Education in Comparative and International Education (concentration: philosophy of education), and a Doctorate of Education in International Educational Development (concentration: peace education) from Teachers College, Columbia University. His research focuses on school/structural violence, educational inequity, and critical pedagogy.
